Time wasted with the wrong person is just that, a waste. People say to me all the time “nobody’s perfect” and “I’ve been dating for years and I still haven’t found the right person so maybe this one is good enough.” I’m curious, since when did anyone sign up to be your Mr. or Ms. “Good Enough”? How would you feel if someone was thinking about you that way? Wouldn’t you be insulted and feel a bit used? If the tables were turned I bet you would prefer that he or she just moved on to someone else. Or in some cases, there are people who stay with partners just for the sex. They may not be taking you out, spending time with you or introducing you to their friends or family. It’s hard to admit it, but you are being used. A week easily turns into a month and a few months quickly become a year. You may feel “comfortable” but have you lost sight of the type of relationship you initially wanted? Is feeling “comfortable” your excuse to stay in a mediocre relationship?
